Privacy policy and Data protection

Introduction

The Site declares to process the User's data with the utmost discretion.

When the booking is made directly on the LIKIBU Site, the User expressly accepts that all the necessary data will be transmitted to the Provider concerned. Indeed, LIKIBU is not part of the contractual relationship between the User and the Third Party Provider and the transmission of these data is necessary for the creation of the contract between the User and the Third Party Provider.

The Site also reserves the right to disclose the User's data to the Providers.

The User can ask for their data not to be transmitted to the Providers.

The Site undertakes not to communicate to any other third party the data of its users.

1. Accessing the LIKIBU Site

The browser you are using to navigate the LIKIBU Site automatically sends data to the LIKIBU Site servers, where it is temporarily stored in log files. We have no control over this process. The following data may be collected without user intervention and stored until being automatically deleted:

IP address of the device requesting access to the Internet,
Browser used,
Operating system of your computer,
Name of your access provider,
Date and time of access,
Name and URL of the retrieved file,
URL you are visiting,
Device used (computer, phone, tablet, etc.),
Browser language.

The legal basis for processing your IP address is Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. No direct conclusions can be drawn about your identity from the collected data.

The IP address and other data of the above-mentioned devices will be used for the following purposes:

To ensure an easy and quality connection,
To ensure a comfortable use of our website/application,
To evaluate security and stability of the system.

Data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. From the moment the session ends, data is stored in log files for up to 8 weeks and is automatically deleted from the users' allocation.

The LIKIBU Site uses cookies. All scenarios in which we use your data for these purposes and the way we process it are specified below.

2. Information on cookies

A cookie is a small computer file installed on your computer (Mac or PC), tablet or smartphone that contains textual data about your navigation on the LIKIBU Site.

Their aim is to make your browsing experience smoother and more pleasant when you search for a vacation rental.

Your browser also has a "local storage" space used for the same purpose and for which this section is also valid.

It is important to know that these "cookies" cannot harm your device.

3. Use of cookies on the LIKIBU Site

The primary purpose of cookies is to make navigation on the LIKIBU Site easier by allowing you to access better targeted information according to your geographical area, your browser language, and if you are already registered on LIKIBU, not to have to enter your login details again. Thanks to cookies, you can also access the results of your previous searches in just one click and easily find the accommodations you have seen during your previous visits.

Cookies are stored by browser. Therefore, if you choose to use a different Internet browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) to visit LIKIBU again, your browsing experience may differ.

Cookies on LIKIBU are never used to store personal data such as your address or bank/payment details.

4. Cookies from third party platforms

Cookies are used by LIKIBU to make the navigation on the website smoother. However, data related to Google Analytics is transmitted to Google for traffic reporting and website traffic statistics.

We also work with other platforms that may also place cookies on your computer: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or other social networks through which you have registered or connected to Likibu.com.

5. How to manage your cookies?

You can, if you wish, deactivate your cookies at any time. However, please note that this would prevent you from accessing certain parts of our website and would offer you a less pleasant browsing experience on LIKIBU.

6. Confidentiality and creation of an account

When you create your account (article 11.1 Registration), you can do it through a fast connection service:

Google: we retrieve your Gmail address.
Facebook (Facebook Connect): we retrieve the email address registered on your Facebook account.
Email: we retrieve your email address.

Data about your searches is stored on your computer and browser when you are logged into your account on LIKIBU. This is done to enhance your user experience on Likibu.com.

7. Registration via Facebook Connect

When you register on LIKIBU via Facebook Connect, a direct connection is made to the servers of Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). Facebook detects the use of your LIKIBU’s login details during this process.

If you have expressly given your consent to Facebook in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR, your personal data will be transmitted to us as part of the registration process via the social network login. We only use the following information from the transmitted data which we store until it is automatically deleted:

Your email address,
Your age,
Your gender.

Other data available via Facebook Connect is not retrieved or stored by the LIKIBU Site (profile picture, contacts, time zone, etc.).

The legal basis for the use of this data is Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR. The use of this data enables us to fulfill our contractual obligations arising from our Terms of Service (Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR). The collected data will be deleted as soon as your usage contract of the LIKIBU Site terminates.

You can also directly block the connection to LIKIBU from your Facebook account.

8. Registration via Google

When you register on LIKIBU via Google by clicking on "G continue with Google", a direct connection is made to the servers of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google detects the use of your LIKIBU’s login details during this process. Your Google account data is not instantly transmitted to the LIKIBU Site. Some of it may however be made available to LIKIBU according to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=fr).

If you have expressly given your consent to Google in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR, your personal data will be transmitted to us as part of the registration process via Google. We use the following information from the transmitted data which we store until it is automatically deleted:

Your email address,
Your gender.

Other data available via Google is not retrieved or stored by the LIKIBU Site (profile picture, link to the account, user domain, etc.).

You can also directly block the connection to LIKIBU from your Google account.
